Photography Case Study - Positive Footsteps.
Delivering classroom-based learning, career carousel events bring businesses and schools together, opening up the world of work and making a real difference to the aspirations of young people.
The client, Positive Footprints approached me with the goal of documenting the implementation of a future skills program they had introduced to a primary school. The output was to be used in providing evidence to programme investors and stake holders of the success of their funding in supporting the initiative.
The brief was to show interaction, learning and development in action. Highlighting the engagement seen from the children and their direction use of the materials provided.
This was achieved with an approach aiming to minimise disruption of the session by using natural light, handy equipment and minimum noise. By utilising the latest in camera equipment I was able to use high sensitive to gather enough light from the environment negating the need for flash and by using a silent shutter which removed all noise from the camera. This approach facilitated the uninterrupted flow of the session.
The final step was the selection and editing of dozens of images which demonstrate the key objectives outlined in the brief and then editing them to reflect a bright, modern and energetic environment.
The combination of delivery, involvement from stakeholders and the visual presentation resulted in an immediate commitment to continue the funding.
All round a successful commission and outcome.
