We Clapped, So Its All OK

During the Covid-19 Lockdowns there were regular Thursday evening ‘claps' for the NHS’, becoming a national ritual of recognising the pressures on the health service whilst simultaneously doing nothing tangible to support them. In contrast medical waste became typical on the streets, sites of potential spread and disregard for the community sense that clapping encouraged.
